STUDY GROUP
Geography Queen will be delivering sessions for home educated students in Swindon. These will be for ages 6-13+
You will have access to a private online support group where Geography Queen will post exclusive resources. You will be provided with a scheme of work which will show what your child will study each week and each topic we study will have a variety of learning methods including: drawing, writing, reading and model making.

WHAT WILL WE STUDY TOGETHER
WHAT IS GEOGRAPHY?
Challenging your perceptions of what Geography involves, taking a closer look at the branches of Geography: human, physical, environmental. Playing Globingo and recognising the Geography all around us. Spending time in our local environment to carry out an in-depth Geographical study.
MAPS
We will learn their purpose, how to read them, we will consider their historical value and we shall take a look at some unusual maps before making our own.
GLOBAL
How are we connected to the world globally? This unit of study will get us thinking about big companies like Coca Cola, McDonalds and Nike and what impact they have on our world. We will play the logo game and have some reflective conversations about how our actions and choices have global consequences and what we can do about that.
